He?s gearing up for the end of his deployment as a search and rescue pilot at RAF Valley, and Prince William paid a visit to The Anglesey Agricultural Showground for a special event today (August 14).
The proud new papa got to work hands-on with a trained hawk before he addressed the crowd that gathered to greet him.
William spoke to the Welsh crowd in their native language, noting, "Thank you Anglesey. So proud to have lived here - the mother of Wales."
"I know I speak for Catherine when I say I have never known somewhere as beautiful and welcoming as Anglesey,? the Prince continued.
Evening Standard Royal Editor Robert Jobson previously stated, "Prince William has enjoyed his day job as a search and rescue pilot and just being one of the guys. But there is now pressure on the Duke going forward and he must decide where his career goes next."
"The most important factor is that the Queen, aged 87, and the Duke of Edinburgh, aged 92, are now going to be slowing down quite dramatically, so there'll be a need for William and the Duchess to take on a greater role."
