Glee Star Charice Pempengco?s Father Killed

Charice Pempengco, who played Sunshine Corazon on ‘Glee’, is mourning the loss of her father, who died yesterday after being stabbed several times in the Philippines. Her father, Ricky Pempengco, 40, reportedly ‘brushed up’ against Angel Capili, who allegedly was drunk, at a store in San Pedro Township (just south of Manila), Philippines. Capili allegedly stabbed Pempengo with an ice pick several times in the chest and back and ran from the scene. A 20,000 pesos ($470) reward has been offered for information on the alleged killer. Authorities believe that the killing was a ‘random act‘. During a 2008 appearance on the Oprah show, Charice remembered as a 3-year-old she saw her father be physically violent towards her mother.
