Bret Michaels Taught Charlie Sheen How to Trash Hotels

Looks like Bret Michaels has a little tiger blood in him. The rocker-turned-reality star claims that he taught Charlie Sheen everything he knows about trashing a hotel room!

Michaels, 48, tells E! that he and Sheen, 45, were first introduced through a Penthouse Pet both of them -- surprise, surprise -- had dated. The Poison frontman and the erstwhile Two and a Half Men star became fast friends through their mutual love of debauchery.

"Charlie has been nothing but a great friend to me, nothing but a great friend," says Michaels. "I showed him how to destroy a hotel room, and he showed me how to edit and work on film. It was great. I showed him how to lose a lot of money, and he showed me how to make a lot of money."

Hmm, sounds like Bret got the better part of that deal. But on to the hotel-trashing lesson!

The musician recalls that he and Sheen were staying in the same hotel during the Super Bowl one year, when Michaels thought he heard something breaking in Sheen's room. Michaels went across the hall to ask what was going on, and Sheen told him, "Man, I just want to be a rock star and bust up this room."

"Charlie is rock star to me," says Michaels. "I walked in there and I said, 'Man, are you mad about something?' He said, 'There are a few things frustrating me right now.'"

"A real rock star busts stuff out of frustration," the singer explained to Sheen. "When you're in a great mood, you don't really break stuff. It's when you're angry about something and have had some adult beverages, it's a good professional hotel room-breaking."

So the hotel-trashing guru picked up "this huge vase," which he and Sheen smashed. Then they "destroyed some other things," prompting security to come up to the room.

"So we busted some more stuff, and it was awesome," Michaels recalls fondly.

"We paid for it," he clarifies. "We did a professional destroying."

This weekend, Michaels also revealed that his collaboration with Miley Cyrus, a cover of his Poison hit "Every Rose Has Its Thorn," will finally be released as a single. Hmm... do you think Bret passed any of that rock-star expertise on to Miley?
