Brad Womack: Emily and I Will Make It Through

Brad Womack: Emily and I Will Make It Through

Despite the rocky road that Brad Womack and Emily Maynard have already been down, the former Bachelor and the winner of his final rose insist they will get their happy ending.

"I'm so happily engaged. I've never been happier, I promise you that," Womack, 38, told People magazine.

On ABC's After the Final Rose, Womack and Maynard admitted that they had already broken up once since the show finished taping and had numerous "volatile" fights that caused them to call off their planned March 8 wedding.

Even though Womack proposed to Maynard on the show's finale, she still seemed to have a very hard time watching Brad get close to other women on the show. Despite his consistent declarations of love, Emily just couldn't feel comfortable packing up her 5-year-old daughter and moving to Austin to be with Brad.

"There have been numerous times where either she or I have said, 'To hell with it. It's just too difficult,'" Womack says.

Still, the couple is confident that their love for each other will pull them through the rough times, and they will end up as Mr. and Mrs.

"The hardest part is behind us," Maynard says. "I feel pretty confident if we can make it through (the past three months), we can make it through."
