T.I. Drops 'I'm Flexin',' His First Post-Prison Track
Big K.R.I.T. produced the song and is featured on the chorus.
By Alvin Blanco
T.I. just completed his 11-month prison sentence Thursday, and he's already dropping musical heat. On Friday (September 30), the Atlanta rapper released his first post-prison single, "I'm Flexin'," featuring Big K.R.I.T.
The song was originally due for release Monday, but instead, fans are getting an end-of-the-week treat. The multitalented K.R.I.T., whose debut album's release has been pushed back to next year, handles the song's chorus and production, while T.I. delivers three verses with a double-time flow, using the song to assert that he is officially back. "My hustle grand, my money long, my spot on top but y'all want that/ My position vacant, my crown away but my throne is empty, I own that," he spits on the second verse over the instrumental's nimble drums, keys and electric guitars.
T.I. appeared on Atlanta radio station Hot 107.9, giving his first interview since being released from prison. During his chat, T.I. gave praise to the current movement in his hometown of Atlanta with the surge of new rappers and said that the city needs his help. Later Friday, Tip will celebrate his birthday at Atlanta's Club Esso.
Since his return to a halfway house to finish his federal sentence, Tip has appeared on songs with 2 Chainz ("Spend It" remix), Future ("Magic" remix) and Young Jeezy ("F.A.M.E."). But "I'm Flexin'," which was released via Tip's TrapMuzik.com website, is the first song credited as his own. Also made available was an excerpt from the trap rapper's upcoming novel, "Power & Beauty: A Love Story of Life on the Streets," co-written with David Ritz, which will be released October 18.
As for more music, a message Thursday on Tip's Twitter reveals that fans can expect a few more remixes from the "Rubberband Man" shortly. "N!*%$ in Paris already a dun-datta...pending Ye&J's approval. 'Sleezy' w/Ke$ha & 'Magic' w/Future too...what else???" he tweeted.
"The record is hot," DJ Drama, T.I.'s longtime collaborator, told MTV News about "I'm Flexin' " earlier this week. "Big K.R.I.T. deserves it. He's been working for a long time. So they're both fans of each other, so sh-- is definitely gonna be a nice sound for the ear."

Lily Collins Is Our New Class' 'Ass-Kicking Girl Next Door'
With 'Mortal Instruments' and 'Snow White' still to come, the badass-yet-relatable actress is destined for mega-fame.
By Eric Ditzian, with reporting by Kara Warner
We called it way back in January: Lily Collins was an actress to watch in 2011.
At that point, her career was just heating up following a turn as Sandra Bullock's daughter in "The Blind Side." An impressive series of castings in high-profile films followed: "Priest," "Abduction" opposite Taylor Lautner and an adaptation of the best-selling YA series "The Mortal Instruments." A few months later, she landed the role of Snow White in Relativity Media's Julia Roberts-starring take on the fairy tale.
Collins is making good on our predictions, which is why we've selected her as part of our New Class — a collection of young talent about to rise to the top of Hollywood, including her "Mortal Instruments" co-star Jamie Campbell Bower. With her badass-yet-relatable roles, Collins is our New Class' "Ass-Kicking Girl Next Door."
Though she's had all of 2011 to get used to the spotlight, the whole celebrity thing continues to feel odd.
"It feels very surreal," she told us at the "Abduction" red carpet. "It's weird getting out of a car and people are saying my name. It's still a weird concept to me."
Give her time. Collins told us she'd like to model her career after Keira Knightley, Kate Winslet or Meryl Streep. "I like that none of them have stuck themselves in a box," she said. "They've done all sorts of roles — comedic, dramatic, they've gone from indies to big motion pictures. I love their choices."
And she's a fan of the New Class itself, which includes not only Bower, but Emma Watson, Josh Hutcherson, Julianne Hough and Nina Dobrev.
"It's an honor to be placed in the New Class of actors," Collins said. "I'm doing what I love, and I'm having the best time."

Melissa McCarthy: Motherhood Made Me Less Insecure About My Looks
For years, Melissa McCarthy has been the proverbial comedic "best friend" sidekick -- but now she's finally in the spotlight.
The funny lady is having the best year of her career: She won an Emmy for her leading role on the CBS sitcom Mike and Molly and chewed up the scenery in the blockbuster comedy ensemble Bridesmaids. But the role McCarthy, 41, savors the most isn't professional -- it's being mother to her two young daughters, Vivian, 4, and Georgette, 1.
Parenting her girls with actor-husband Ben Falcone (he was the Air Marshal in Bridesmaids) has had a profound effect on McCarthy's self-esteem, she tells The Hollywood Reporter.
"The stupid stuff, like what I wear or how I look, I can't control, so I just try not to give too much energy to it," she says, referring to her postpartum body as a work in progress. "At 20, I would have been like: 'Don't they like me? Was it my hair?' At 41, I think the things that define me, I hope, are a lot more than those kinds of petty things." ??
But McCarthy does care about fashion -- she even designed her own Emmys gown with the help of custom dressmaker Daniella Pearl. And as a plus-sized actress, McCarthy has to have a healthy sense of humor about her red-carpet options.
"Trying to find stuff that's still fashion-forward in my size is damn near impossible. It's either for like a 98-year-old woman or a 14-year-old hooker, and there is nothing in the middle," McCarthy jokes.

'Twilight' Fan Christina Perri Pens 'A Love Song To Edward And Bella'
Admitted 'Twi-Hard' is 'unbelievably honored' that 'A Thousand Years' made the 'Breaking Dawn - Part 1' soundtrack.

For any artist, getting a song on a "Twilight" soundtrack is a pretty big deal. But for Christina Perri, whose "A Thousand Years" made the cut for the upcoming "Breaking Dawn - Part 1" album, well, "pretty big deal" is an understatement.
Perri is — to put it mildly — rather obsessed with the series, as she told MTV News on Tuesday (September 27).
"Yes, I am 1,000 percent a 'Twilight' fan. I can't even deny that I am actually, in fact, a Twi-Hard and have a 'Twilight' tattoo," she laughed, also revealing that she's Team Edward. "I got a tattoo on my wrist that says 'bitten,' and it's written in the font of all the book titles. So, yes, I am of one the big, geeky fans."
For Perri, who already found success with her hit "Jar of Hearts," landing "Breaking Dawn" was a career-defining moment, not to mention a dream come true. Especially since, until the final track list was revealed Monday, she had no idea if her song made the cut.
"I'll never forget going to the screening of the movie. But, for me, having this opportunity is also such a wild card, because it's Hollywood, and you never really know. ... I wasn't even sure I was going to be on it until yesterday, when I saw it in print," she laughed. "So I tried not to get hyped out, because it's one of my favorite movies, one of my favorite books, one of my favorite soundtracks, and that could potentially freak out the little songwriter in me.
"So I tried to put that aside and take it one step at a time, went to see the movie and cried like a baby, because it's so good, and I felt so lucky to be there," she continued. "And then went home and wrote a love song to Edward and Bella ... and to have it be chosen, I'm unbelievably honored."
She wrote that love song based less on the screening she attended ("It wasn't finished," Perri said. "But I still cried. Seriously, that's how good it is") and more on the emotions she felt reading Stephenie Meyer's series ... in particular, the star-crossed love affair between Edward and Bella.
"When we went to watch the screening, they told us to see where there was temporary music added and just jump into those scenes a little harder," she explained. "But I'm fortunately a fan of the movie and the characters, and I feel like, by reading these books, I can step into that feeling that Edward and Bella have for each other. So [songwriter] David Hodges and I sat down, and it just came out in one afternoon. I feel like it was all meant to happen; I feel like it was all waiting inside me, waiting to come out."
While she doesn't know where "A Thousand Years" will be used in "Breaking Dawn," Perri said it's not all that important to her. She's just counting down the days until the film's premiere, when, finally, she'll get to hear her song on the big screen. And after that, all bets are off.
"For me, personally, this is one of my dreams coming true. And the fact that it's on the soundtrack, I'm seeing it, but I'm not sure I'm quite believing it," she said. "I have a feeling when I'm sitting in the theater with the cast, and the movie comes on and my song happens, that I'm probably at that moment either going to combust with excitement or finally believe it and probably cry a little."

Ashley Tisdale & Leah Remini Parody 'Toddlers & Tiaras'
It's hard to watch TLC's Toddlers & Tiaras without wondering: What will these kids be like when they get older? That's the question that Leah Remini and Ashley Tisdale attempt to answer in this hilarious new video from Funny or Die. Watch below!
You know it's a good parody when it seems weirdly plausible! In this pretend "Where are They Now?" special, Tisdale plays a grown version of Mackenzie, the 4-year-old diva from the TLC show's third season. At 25, we learn, Mackenzie is still shrieking at her mother (Leah Remini), crying for her pacifier ("Ni-ni!") and competing in beauty pageants... in the 5-to-7-year-old category.
"We feel she really does shine in this particular group," Remini explains, as if it's perfectly logical. (Is it any less logical than spending six figures on pageant costumes for a 4-year-old?)
There's also a great dig at the ridiculous get-ups that pageant moms coerce their kids into (like this year's infamous "Pretty Woman" outfit).
"As Makenzie grew, some of the judges were concerned that her outfits were too 'promiscuous' -- but when she was younger, they were 'cute'?" scoffs Remini. "Please. Semantics."
Even though Remini gets the best lines, it's Tisdale that gets the biggest laughs out of this video. The former High School Musical villain has proven her excellent timing as the voice of Candace on the cartoon Phineas & Ferb, and here she shows that she can do sketch comedy with the best of them. Somebody ought to give this girl her own sitcom -- or she may be forced to scream "Ni-ni" again!

Michael Jackson Manslaughter Trial Begins Jury Selection
Dr. Conrad Murray faces charges he administrated lethal dose of sedatives to Jackson.

It's been more than two years since Michael Jackson's death shocked the world on the eve of the pop icon's planned comeback tour. In the time since, the focus has turned to the King of Pop's personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, who officials claim administered the lethal combination of sedatives that ended Jackson's life at age 50.
On Thursday (September 8), jury selection began in Los Angeles in Murray's manslaughter trial, which promises to grab headlines for the next month as prosecutors aim to pin the "Thriller" singer's death on a series of actions Murray allegedly took in the hours before Jackson's passing.
No cameras will be allowed inside the courtroom for the trial, which will begin as soon as 12 impartial jurors can be found, a task that will likely be challenging given the worldwide attention Jackson's death generated.
Jackson died on June 25, 2009, after suffering cardiac arrest at his rented Hollywood mansion. The Los Angeles County coroner's office ruled that the 50-year-old singer died of "acute propofol intoxication" in combination with the use of sedatives. Authorities have claimed that cardiologist Murray administered a lethal dose of the surgical anesthetic to chronic insomniac Jackson in an attempt to help him get to sleep. Murray was charged with involuntary manslaughter last February in connection with Jackson's death and has pleaded not guilty in the case. The doctor is out on $75,000 bail and faces up to four years in prison and the revocation of his medical license if convicted.
After taking care of Jackson and the singer's children in his hometown of Las Vegas, Murray was hired by the pop star to be his personal physician in the lead-up to a series of 50 comeback shows at the O2 Arena in London dubbed This Is It. Murray was by Jackson's side the night he died and has admitted to administering several doses of propofol and other sedatives to his client, but his lawyers have said that the physician did not give the fatal push of medication.
Instead, they reportedly are planning to argue that Jackson — a chronic insomniac who was allegedly addicted to a deadly cocktail of strong sedatives in order to get rest — gave himself the final dose while Murray was out of the room.
According to a Reuters report, in the first three days of the oft-delayed trial more than 480 potential jurors will be brought through the court house. They will be given a 30-page, 117-question survey seeking their past experience with prescription drugs, doctors, celebrities, news outlets, law enforcement and queries about their DVD collections, according to NBC Los Angeles.
Among the questions on an earlier version of the questionnaire: "Have you ever considered yourself a fan of Michael Jackson or the Jackson family?," "Did you ever watch [the Jackson documentary] 'This Is It'?" and "What Internet sites or blogs, if any, do you visit on a regular basis?"
The pool will be cut down to 100 potential jurors who will return for more questioning later this month. The trial is expected to last five weeks, with opening arguments set for September 27.

Kristen Stewart's UK Beach Equine Shoot
Continuing work on her latest project, Kristen Stewart was spotted on the set of ?Snow White and the Huntsman? earlier today (September 29).
The fresh-faced "Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn? actress looked effortlessly stunning in an off-the-shoulder gown while filming scenes alongside a graceful white horse on location in the South West Coast of Wales, UK.
Meanwhile, Kristen recently met up with supermodel Kate Moss when they shared the front row at London's Fashion Week - and, as one source put it, their time together was an all-out love fest.
?She [Kristen] told Kate how much she loved her wedding pictures and how much she admired her," with Moss telling her how much "she loves the Twilight films," the insider told press.
Additionally, the pair chatted it up about love and how to make it work with their A-list status, as the insider dished, ?I think they even discussed how to make relationships work in the public eye," adding, ?Kate would?ve had some great tips for keeping love alive when you?re living apart due to work.?

Did Nancy Grace Survive the 'DWTS' Elimination?
After Monday night's fast-tempo performances, which left Nancy Grace revealing more than her fancy footwork and Chaz Bono plummeting to the lowest spot on the leaderboard, who was the second couple booted from the Dancing with the Stars ballroom?
HLN host Nancy Grace and her partner Tristan MacManus were safe this week, making some fans on Twitter wonder if the "nip slip" hoopla actually helped her snag some extra votes.
Bono and his blonde dancing pro Lacey Schwimmer unsurprisingly landed in the bottom three, after their "too slow" quickstep earned them a lowest-of-the-heap score of 17 on Monday night. Joining them in the bottom three was David Arquette and Kym Johnson, who got a second-to-last-place score of 18 for their performance.
But despite her beauty and a decent judges' score of 21, it was Italian model-actress Elisabetta Canalis -- best known in the States for dating George Clooney -- and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy who couldn't pull off enough audience votes to secure another week in the competition.
"It was a great adventure, so I want to thank everybody," Canalis told the audience. Chmerkovskiy, who looked upset by the results, told Canalis: "I'm very proud of you. I wish I did better for you."
Watch the entire results show below:
Moving on without any difficulty were Rob Kardashian and Cheryl Burke, who faced elimination last week. (Could this have something to do with his lobbying sisters and their millions of Twitter followers?)
Going forward, the top-placed partners are Ricky Lake and Derek Hough and J.R. Martinez and Karina Smirnoff who have yet to finish anywhere near the bottom. Will they continue their reign at the top? We'll have to tune in -- the next episode is Monday at 8 p.m. EST, on ABC!

Taylor Lautner: Dating Is Difficult
Checking out of his posh overnight digs, Taylor Lautner was spotted leaving the Bristol Hotel in Paris, France this morning (September 28).
The "Abduction" hunk kept it cool and casual as he embarked on his busy day, wearing a blue shirt and jeans as he made his way past the looming paparazzi.
And while he's known as one of Hollywood's hottest young heartthrobs, Taylor recently stated that it's actually quite hard for him to find a date.
?You definitely have to deal with whether girls are interested in me or Jacob. Sometimes it?s hard," Launter revealed.
He added, "Time always lets you know what a person is really like. The fans love the characters and they would love anyone who as playing those characters. I?m just the guy who was able to bring Jacob to life."

Are Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler Getting Back Together?
Reality star Kristin Cavallari was heartbroken after fiance Jay Cutler broke off their engagement in July. But now it seems the pair may be headed back to coupledom.
According to People, the Dancing with the Stars contestant was "absolutely devastated" when the two called it quits after a three-month engagement. But after a summer apart, sources say Cavallari and the Chicago Bears quarterback are "working it out."
"They're not officially back together but they're definitely talking and figuring things out," the source tells People.
The source goes on to explain that the former Hills beauty, 24, and the NFL star, 28, just need some time after their whirlwind romance. (They only dated for seven months before Cutler popped the question in Mexico last April.)
"Everything happened too fast when they first got together," the source adds. "So this time they're taking things slow."
But with their busy schedules -- she's on DWTS, and he's in full NFL season mode -- the couple is reportedly rekindling their romance from a distance. The source explains that "they're talking a lot."
Meanwhile, Cavallari is making her team loyalties known. She twittered "Let's go Bears!!!... Good luck @jaycutler6" on Sunday night and posted a photo of herself in a Bears hoodie.

Jamie Campbell Bower Is Our New Class' 'Next Johnny Depp'
'Johnny Depp has always been a massive inspiration for me,' 'Breaking Dawn' actor tells MTV News.
By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Josh Horowitz
Jamie Campbell Bower

Jamie Campbell Bower has already been swept up in the frenzy of two of Hollywood's biggest franchises ever, "Twilight" and "Harry Potter." At 22, he's settled for nothing less than A-list flicks, including "Sweeney Todd," "RocknRolla" and playing King Arthur in the miniseries "Camelot."
Thanks to his gypsy style and diverse résumé that includes films both big and small, Bower has been named "Most Likely to Be the Next Johnny Depp" by MTV Movies' New Class Yearbook. And with one Tim Burton film already under his belt, Bower is well on his way to following in the footsteps of the man who's made pirates oh so cool.
But it's what Bower is set to do next that's really going to keep the upward momentum of his career going. In addition to the closing out of the "Twilight" franchise in the next year with roles in "Breaking Dawn" parts 1 and 2, the actor will gear up to star in "The Mortal Instruments" alongside Lily Collins.
He's also a man who can mix it up and star in a period piece like next month's "Anonymous," which centers on the theory that Edward de Vere, earl of Oxford, actually wrote Shakespeare's plays. MTV's Josh Horowitz sat down with Bower recently to discuss all that's in store for the actor.
MTV: This is, like, your time. You have some really cool opportunities right now. Does it feel like this is what you've been working toward?
Jamie Campbell Bower: Well, yes. Being able to do lead roles in pictures or onstage or whatever it is that you're doing in acting is obviously what you strive for because you want to better yourself as an actor and you want to better yourself as a person as well. But that does come with a lot of responsibility and a great deal of weight. At the moment, I'm incredibly nervous and I hope I just don't f--- it up.
MTV: Your ["Mortal Instruments"] audition — I want to hear from you. Did it feel like you embraced Jace?
Bower: This was a big deal for me and so I did a lot of preparation. I sent an email out asking what the character would wear, how he would dress, and I really focused on it. I was constantly, constantly, constantly looking at the lines and looking at the words and trying to nail who this guy was. They've taken a bit of, not a risk, but to put their trust in me and give me that role is very humbling.
MTV: Are we going to see much of you in "Breaking Dawn: Part 1"?
Bower: "Breaking Dawn: Part 1"? You'll see a bit of us [the Volturi]. We're around. "Part 2" is sort of where we really "throw down," would be the correct terminology? "Part 1," for us, is a lot of menacing set dressing. I am the best out-of-focus actor that you've ever seen, aren't I?
MTV: Is there a career to emulate?
Bower: You know, Johnny Depp has always been a massive inspiration for me and he's somebody who has produced an incredible amount of work, and every single piece that he does is amazing. And he also very cleverly manages to stay himself and very much shy away from the limelight, where it could have been very easy for him to put himself in a position where his friends and his family were in danger. And that's a scary thought. I think that's the main thing, to keep focused. It's a job at the end of the day and you have a responsibility to the people you're making the film for.

Living Celebrities on Stamps: Should Lady Gaga Be the First?
In about a year, you might be able to start sending your snail mail and birthday cards with stamps featuring celebrities like Lady Gaga and Neil Armstrong. The United States Postal Service announced Monday that stamps will no longer only feature dead individuals. They're asking the public to submit their top five choices for living people they'd like to see honored on a stamp via Facebook and Twitter, which will help the postmaster general make a decision as to whose face will make the cut.
This announcement is a big step away from USPS' previous policy of exclusively commemorating deceased celebrities and historical figures. But it turns out that stamps featuring Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe are two of the best-selling stamps of all time. With their move to honor living celebrities, the revenue-starved USPS is seeking to build on the money-making success of those star-studded stamps by drawing in a younger audience and potentially encouraging a stamp-collecting renaissance.
"Having really nice, relevant, interesting, fun stamps might make a difference in people's decisions to mail a letter," the Postal Service's manager of stamp services Stephen Kearney tells The New York Times. "This is such a sea change."
The turnaround time for these new stamps will be significantly less than the previous three-year development process for stamps. Kearney says that at least one new stamp featuring a living person will be available late next year. It will join the previously announced 34 new stamps that will also be released then.
Kearney says that he expects this new venture will cause the number of suggestions USPS receives yearly to increase. On average, the Postal Service receives 40,000 suggestions from the public each year -- but between people contributing their piks on Facebook and Twitter, he expects that number to be higher. The decision won't be a popularity contest, though. The Citizen's Stamp Advisory Committee will sift through the responses and then make their recommendations to the postmaster general, who makes the final decision.
There has already been some backlash toward putting living celebrities on stamps. The fear is that it could allow the influence of commercial decisions, or that an overnight star could end up being commemorated forever on a stamp. Kearny isn't concerned, though.
"I want to reassure everyone that we won't let this cheapen the value of being on stamps," he says.
So who will get the honor of being the first living person to see their face staring back at them from a stamp? Will it be a young up-and-comer like Lady Gaga, a mid-career icon like Julia Roberts or Tom Hanks, or a wizened veteran like Betty White? We'll have to wait until next year to find out, but it's not too early to start inundating USPS with your suggestions.

Michael Jackson's family has announced a tribute concert to the late King of Pop that is slated to take place on October 8 in Cardiff, Wales. The four-hour show at the 75,000-capacity Millennium Stadium will be broadcast via satellite on pay-per-view and into movie theaters with a cast of big-name performers whose identities have not yet been revealed.
At the Beverly Hills press conference on Monday revealing the details of the "Michael Forever" show, Jackson family matriarch Katherine was joined by sons Tito, Jackie and Marlon and daughter LaToya; siblings Jermaine, Randy, Janet and estranged husband Joe were not in attendance.
"When I was told some of the names of the artists performing, I knew it would be fit for a king. If my son was here today he would feel the same way, and so I'd like to say thank you very much for helping to keep my son's legacy alive," Katherine Jackson said of Michael, who died in June 2009 of a heart attack caused by a prescription drug overdose.
According to Wales Online, the show will feature artists Jackson admired and will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the start of his solo career.
"I will be there along with as many members of my family that can make it," Katherine said. "It is intended to be the biggest and best concert in the world for many years to come." LaToya added, "This event is far, far overdue. He was an entertainer who I feel no one can ever stand up to or hold a candle to as far as his talent is concerned. This tribute will be something spectacular and I know that he would approve."
One of the show's producers said that despite taking place in a large stadium, the event will have a more intimate atmosphere with the building's roof closed. Proceeds from the show will benefit three charities Jackson supported: the Prince's Trust, AIDS Project Los Angeles and a cancer charity. The show's lineup will be announced on August 3.
As with many things related to MJ's legacy, there was controversy, as brothers Randy and Jermaine said they thought the timing of the show was inappropriate. In a statement, the two said, "While we wholeheartedly support the spirit of a tribute that honors our brother, we find it impossible to support an event that is due to take place during the criminal trial surrounding Michael's death. As everyone knows, those proceedings commence September 20."
That date is when Jackson's former doctor, Conrad Murray, is slated to go on trial for manslaughter charges in the singer's death.
Jermaine attempted to put on a tribute concert to his late brother in September 2009, but the show fell apart after many of the top acts were unable to commit to the event.

Beyonce Talks Artistic Freedom In Behind-The-Scenes Footage
'What do you do after 16 Grammys and millions of records sold? Whatever makes you happy,' singer says in new video.
By Jocelyn Vena
Just two weeks before she took to the VMA stage on Sunday night, Beyoncé dazzled in a four-night set at New York's Roseland Ballroom. Little did anyone know then that the singer was keeping a big secret: that she and hubby Jay-Z are expecting their first child together.
Now fans are getting an insider's view of what it took to put those shows together. "What do you do after 16 Grammys and millions of records sold?" Beyoncé asks in the second of two behind-the-scenes videos that just hit the Internet. "Whatever makes you happy," she answers.
During the shows, Beyoncé recalled the highlights of her career during a mind-bending medley of oldies. "That concept is really smart and emotional and you see me as a human being more than just music ... let's tell the story. It's more intimate; it's cooler than me just talking," she explains in the video.
Relive Beyoncé's big night at the VMAs in photos!
With more behind-the-scenes videos expected to drop, Beyoncé says that she wanted to perform this way because "I feel like I know who I am and I don't have to put myself in a box and no one can define me. All I have to do is have fun and have artistic freedom to do whatever I want."
In previously released footage, some of the people who helped shape the show also talked about how B was preparing for the gigs. Bibi, who played lead guitar, said, "She's listening to her inner voice right now and doing what she wants to do. I think she took risks. I think she's being more authentic and doing what she wants to do instead of doing what people expect, which is good."
Beyoncé and Jay-Z celebrate their big news backstage.
Nick, the lighting designer for the shows, explained the visual concept for them. The stage setup was pretty simple — just Beyoncé surrounded by her band and backup dancers, singing her heart out. "The big moments on the album will make the look from the lighting really big, and then when it comes down to songs like '1+1,' it'll be one spotlight," he explained.
The bottom line, according to the show's musical director, Kim Burse, is that "this project is the most mature project for Beyoncé because to be able to be in an intimate setting like this is an amazing thing."

We already knew about Bruno Mars' involvement in the upcoming "Breaking Dawn" soundtrack. But now — officially — we know who will be joining him.
Theophilus London, the Joy Formidable, Iron & Wine, Christina Perri and the Noisettes are just some of the acts confirmed for the "Dawn" soundtrack, which hits stores on November 8 (10 days before "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1" bows in theaters). The full track list was unveiled Monday (September 26) afternoon on the official "Twilight" Twitter account, confirming speculations that sprung up over the weekend, when a listing of artists and songs began making the rounds on various fansites.
Work by "Twilight"-series composer Carter Burwell and actress Mia Maestro (she plays Carmen of the Denali Cover in the "Breaking Dawn" films) also shows up on the soundtrack, as do songs by Angus and Julia Young, the Features, the Belle Brigade and Cider Sky. All in all, there are 15 tracks on the album, and all — aside from a "Wedding Version" of Iron & Wine's "Flightless Bird, American Mouth" (as any good Twilighter will tell you, the original version of the song appeared on the first "Twilight" soundtrack) and an updated take on Noisettes' "Sister Rosetta" — are new.
The "Breaking Dawn" soundtrack follows in the footsteps of the ultra-successful 2008 "Twilight" 'track (which featured new songs from Paramore and Perry Farrell), '09's "New Moon" (which boasted a new track by Death Cab for Cutie and contributions from Thom Yorke and Lykke Li) and last year's "Eclipse," which packed in tunes from Muse, Florence and the Machine, Beck and Vampire Weekend.
The full track list for 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1' soundtrack:
» The Joy Formidable, "Endtapes"
» Angus & Julia Stone, "Love Will Take You"
» Bruno Mars, "It Will Rain"
» Sleeping at Last, "Turning Page"
» The Features, "From Now On"
» Christina Perri, "A Thousand Years"
» Theophilus London, "Neighbors"
» The Belle Brigade, "I Didn't Mean It"
» Noisettes, "Sister Rosetta (2011 Version)"
» Cider Sky, "Northern Lights"
» Iron & Wine, "Flightless Bird, American Mouth (Wedding Version)"
» Imperial Mammoth, "Requiem on Water"
» Aqualung & Lucy Schwartz, "Cold"
» Mia Maestro, "Llovera"
» Carter Burwell, "Love Death Rebirth"

Drake Wishes Justin Bieber Kept 'Trust Issues' Unedited
'That would've been so G, if he would've done all the swearing,' Drake tells MTV News of Bieber's remix.
By Rob Markman
LOS ANGELES — When Justin Bieber dropped his remix of Drake's "Trust Issues" over the weekend, many wondered whether the 17-year-old pop star would keep the lyrics intact and throw out F-bombs and the track's other profanities. The baby-faced singer most certainly did not, trading Drake's "F--- it, I'm on one" line for "You know I'm on one."
"I wish he would've left all the cuss words in it. I feel like that would've been so G, if he would've done all the swearing," Drake told MTV News from Lil Wayne's Tha Carter IV release party on Sunday. "I was excited when I heard he remixed it, because there was like a gang of swearing in that song. I was like, 'Oh, we're about to hear the transformation of Bieber.' "
Despite its sweet and serene melody, the lyrics to Drizzy's "Trust Issues" are quite filthy at times. As the YMCMB soldier sings about contempt for manipulative woman, he belts out, "You know what I'm sippin'/ I teach you how to mix it/ But you're the only one, 'cause I don't trust these bitches."
On his version, Bieber doesn't condone drinking nor does he refer to the song's subjects as bitches. Instead, the Biebs tweaks the line and sings, "You just need to listen/ Teach you how to fix it/ 'Cause you're the only one, because I don't trust these women."
JB, however, did keep Drake's dirty original rap verse on his version of the song.
All in all, Drake was pretty excited about the remake. "He's like a talented kid ... from Canada, so to hear him even remix that song is crazy," he said. "That's incredible."
Would you have liked to hear Bieber leave the profanity in his "Trust Issues," or did he make the right call? Let us know in the comments!

Mark Wahlberg Talks 'Fighter' Sequel, Wahlburgers
He also reveals that Catherine Zeta-Jones just signed on to join him and Russell Crowe in 'Broken City.'
By Eric Ditzian, with reporting by Josh Horowitz
Mark Wahlberg was in the giving spirit at the Emmys this weekend, kicking MTV News a bunch of news about his upcoming projects — everything from a burger-based reality show to who he'll be sharing the screen with on his next flick to who will be putting pen to paper for his planned "Fighter" sequel.
This fall, Wahlberg is headed to New York to shoot "Broken City," a noir drama in which he'll play a private detective hired by the mayor (Russell Crowe) to investigate whether his wife is cheating on him. "I think Catherine Zeta-Jones just signed on to be Russell's wife," Wahlberg told us.
A call to the production company behind the project was not immediately returned.
Also on the movie tip, Wahlberg gave us an update about his "Fighter" sequel. Previously, David O. Russell, who helmed the Oscar-winning first film but didn't pen the script, had told us he was looking to write the sequel. But Wahlberg let us know the original screenwriter will likely get the first crack at drafting the sequel, which will focus on Micky Ward's three bouts with Arturo Gatti from 2002 to 2003.
"We're hoping that Scott Silver, who really wrote the first one, will come on, write the script," the actor said. "This one we'd try to make a more commercial movie about the three big fights. Dramatically, there's a lot more at stake for Micky because [after] he won the title, people automatically thought — he's still living in Lowell [Massachusetts] — they thought all of a sudden he was rich. He made a couple thousand dollars for that fight when he won the title. And that's when things got really difficult for him."
And, about those hamburgers, Wahlberg told us that not only is he deadly, deliciously serious about opening a patty joint with his brothers called Wahlburgers, but they're also planning to shoot an Internet-based reality show about the effort.
"Listen, when I told the story that I wanted to do a show about a movie star and his five friends running around Hollywood, everybody said it was the dumbest idea in the world," Wahlberg said of his "Entourage" success. "My brother is a five-star chef. So it's a family-run business. You're going to see us doing a reality show about building the business. This is the real deal. We'll throw it up there and see if it sticks."
